It is a "WW1" alternate timeline sort of steampunk RTS game. You may also find the game Iron Harvest interesting. Like, just WW1 era stuff and make it so you can't advance beyond that in a match. In RON, you advance your civilization through the ages, but you can select a specific time/era to fight in and only that era. The only other thing I can think that you might find interesting is Rise of Nations. It's got mixed reviews but some people seems to quite enjoy it. It's based on the Men of War formula and is probably built on an earlier version of the GEM engine which the MOW series uses. It's basically Blitzkrieg/Sudden Strike but WW1 themed.īattle of Empires looks decent. I played the game 'World War One' and it was o.k. (I think there is a new game coming out from this "Toy Soldiers" franchise) Like, Toy Soldiers (2010) which is about vintage WW1 toys battling. Some things on there were more "inspired by" WW1, rather than a historical game based on WW1 events. I found this list and tweaked it from Wiki. There are some WW1 total conversion mods for specific Total War games and Men of War series and probably others I don't know about. I think your best bet for a quality WW1 RTS experience are mods.
